This card has a large patchwork star, snow flakes stamped on paper and lots of sparkle, which makes it a perfect entry for the challenge at Cute Card Thursday where the challenge is stars. I only made one star but it is big and is the focal point of the card. The glitter snow flake in the center with the red dot in the center make it stand out. I'm also entering this card in the sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts.

A Merry Christmas Card
I am entering this card in the challenge at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #296. I really like this sketch and it was easy to come up with some inspiration that I liked. I found this adorable graphic of a little girl and printed it out. Then I printed out the sentiment on vellum with my laser printer and laminated it with red gold foil. I stamped out the poinsettia then scanned it into my computer to make it smaller. I again used vellum and my laser printer then hand cut them out.
I used cranberry ink to color them and then glued it together and added some glitter to make it sparkle. I arranged the whole thing on an embossed background and placed that on the red card base.

Embossing Challenge
The challenge at Crafting for all Seasons is an embossing challenge #114. I embossed the card with a flower design and used my 3D craft paints to sponge color them. I embossed the smaller flower and colored it and added the metal green banners then added my sentiment. I loved the results of the this embossing folder, and just sponging on the color really made the flowers pop. This is a large embossing folder and will hold a 81/2 X11 size paper. It was fun cutting it down to an A2 size and choosing just the right part of the page I wanted.

Christmas Card
Judy
This card is for the challenge at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #295. This was a really fun card to make and
I love the color combo. I rearranged my layout in order to fit in my card elements. I put glitter on the cuffs of the mittens and
on the little flower centers and then added all the little red gems. The sentiment was perfect for this card.

Let It Snow
Paper Take Weekly and My Time to Craft are hosting a challenge and it is all about snow. I grew up in northern Minnesota where there was a lot of snow the winter, then spent several years living in Reno where we also had a lot of snow. Now I live in Arizona and my card for this challenge is as close to snow as I want to come these days! I had a lot of fun making this card though. My paper is from Hot Off The Press and the paper pack is called Wonderland. I tore a piece of white card stock to make the snow on the ground, added the snow covered trees and then die cut deer. I added lots of little dots with my white pen, then added the snow flakes (Martha Stuart punch) and the sentiment.
For the inside of the card I used the same paper, then added a greeting and more deer and snowflakes. I added touches of glitter to both the front and the inside of the card to make it sparkle like snow does in the moonlight. I think it looks very pretty. Nice and calm. Judy

Happy Birthday Card
Judy
My card is for the challenge at Sweet Sunday, challenge #114.
I really liked this sketch and it worked for my card.
My paper is from Hot Off the Press through Paper Wishes and
the pack is called Wildflowers. I love this paper pack because
it's filled with purples and greens. Even the butterfly is stamped on
two different papers from this pack. I added some additional color
and glitter to the wings for added sparkle. The card base is Neenah Desert Stone.
I have had the butterfly stamp for some time and wanted to try this technique,
and this card gave me the perfect opportunity to try it.

Birthday Wishes
Judy
I made a card that I am going to enter into Sketch Challenge #274
at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. The paper pack I used is called Kindred Spirits
and is from Paper Wishes. The black oval and flowers are embellishments
called dazzles also from Paper Wishers. I added some copic coloring
to the oval and the flowers, then some glitter with my glitter pen.
I stamped the sentiment on the banner and added it to my card.

Santa is coming. . .
I made a card for the challenge at Friday Sketch. Their host for this challenge was Beccy's Place and I had this digital image from her that I really like, so I used it for my card. I colored Santa with Copic markers and then printed out the sentiment. I drew a talk bubble around it and cut it out and added it to the card with pop dots. I think he came out cute.

Bewitched
My card is for challenge #27-Bewitched at Dragonfly Journeys. I got this digital image and colored it with my copic markers. I colored it so she lookes like she is sitting in a pumpkin. and then I sponged on the background in shades of blue and black. When I added the bats I wanted it to look like they were flying the pumpkin in the air. Then I added the fence and the headstone. These elements are stickers that I got from a company called Paper Wishes and they made the perfect additions to my card.

Happy Birthday
My grand daughter is having a birthday soon and this is the card I made for her. Pink is her favorite color so I know it will make her smile. She has long blonde hair too, and her mother is always doing something special with it. The image is from Besties Digital Designs and I colored it using both copics and colored pencils. Her images are so cute and fun to color as she always has a lot of detail in them. I love how it came out. I am entering my card in the Friday Sketch Challenge #101.
I am also entering it in the Craft You Passion challenge #282 which is anything goes.
Now I have to work on a card for my great grandson as his birthday is the day after my grand daughters. Busy, busy, busy!!!

Peace on Earth
The challenge at Pals Paper Arts #269 had a wonderful sketch for this challenge. I turned the sketch to so I could do a standard A2 card. I stamped out this beautiful bird and then scanned it into my computer. I decreased the size of the image and then printed it out with my laser printer. I then ran the image through my laminating machine with gold foil to get the image to glitter with gold details. I could have embossed my image, but I really like the look of this technique, but you have to have a laser image for it to work. I then used some color pencils to add a touch of color and the bird looks amazing. Then I fussy cut it out to layer on my card. For the wreath I again first stamped it out, then scanned it into my computer to enlarge the image and then printed it out. I gave it more color with a green color pencil, and then added the red crystal dots and the red bow. For the sentiment I printed it from my computer and then did the foil technique on it as well using silver foil. After I had everything the way I wanted it, I cut the white card front down to size then rounded the corners and added it to my card base. I love the way this card came out. I tried to do a close up of the bird to show off the glitter look from the foil, but it didn't come out right. I'll try again to see if I can get a good picture and the will add it to this post.

Birthday Card
My card for today is a card that I made for the sketch challenge #110 at Sunday Stamps. I wanted to showcase the cat and the bird so I didn't add much and kept it simple. The result is very striking with the black and the white and then a pop of color with the image of the cat.

To Sexy For My Broom: A Halloween Card
I made this card to enter in the Anything Goes Challenge at: Craft Your Passion challenge #279, and the challenge over at Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge, Die Crazy. It's a slider card. I hand made the song banner and then cut out the web background using an svg cut from Birds Cards. Her cuts are always so easy to use and they are free. Her generosity amazes me. I saw this cat and thought it was so cute I just had to make him on a card! I colored him with copic markers and then fussy cut him out. I used two pennies for the image so it would not spin around on the card and just slide. For the inside I cut out a second web but turned it the other way so the slit is at the top. I made a Tag to go into the slit with the words Boo and Happy Halloween on it. It made the perfect Halloween card for my grand kids and great grand kids.

Get Well Card
A family member was recently in the hospital and I made a get well card for her. I used an electric die cut that I got from Lori Whitlock for the card base, a center step card, and used another electronic cut to make the lacy mat and the butterflies , I hope she likes it and it lifts her spirits. I have entered this card in the "Things with Wings" challenge #270 over at Fab and Funky, and also in the weekly challenge at Simon Says Anything Goes.

Purple Rain
It's been awhile since I have posted. I had cataract surgery done on both eyes and my eyes have not settled down yet. At least that is shat the eye doctor told me. Hope they settle down soon as everything is fuzzy and it's hard to see to get things straight. Not that I could before, but one casn hope. My card for today is for the challenge #19 at Dragonfly Journeys. It's a purple challenge, and I also love purple so this was a fun card for me. My image is one I purchased some time ago and I thought it was perfect for this card. I used colored pencils to color the image as I wanted a softer look. The frame for the image is a stitched scalloped die called sunshine layers from WPlus9. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

Christmas Wishes
Before I get to my card for today I am really proud to post that I made the top three at Sweet Sketch Wensday 2 with the card I made on July 5th. Thanks so much Sweet Wensday2.
Now on to my card for today. I have made my first Christmas card for this year to use in a challenge #ctd350 at Color Throwdown. It was an interesting color combination and I have to say I really like the outcome. Here is my card. I colored my Christmas Angel with Copic markers and then fussy cut it out to put on the black center. I added the pink and green pearls, some glitter on the flowers and stitch lines around the edges for extra impact.

I Love Summer
For the PPA Color Challenge # 258 at Pals Paper Arts I could not resist making Popsicle s. The colors reminded me of the flavors of cherry or watermelon and lemon lime jello. So I made popsicles. I added some glitter to the popsicles to make them a little frosty, and then cut the words out on my electronic die cutter from Night of Navy. I think I need to replace the battery pak in my camera as my picture looks blurry. It has already been hot here, so I need to go buy some popsicles for real! They will be a great treat for watching fireworks. Have a great 4th of July weekend everyone. Judy

Happy Birthday
My card today is a center panel easel card that Dawn at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts made and had a video tutorial on how she die it. I liked it an wanted to make one of my own. I used the color challenge at CQC # 295 and I used this for my color pallet. This is the first time I have played in one of their challenges but I liked the color combination which was Navy, pink, gold and white. The flowers are a Penny Black stamp which I stamped more than once, and then cut them out and used dimensional's to layer them. I used color pencils to color the flowers.

Congratulations
I am sorry to see that Deconstructing Jen will no longer be posting sketch challenges. I always enjoyed her sketches and participating in the challenges. The card I made for my last entry for this sketch challenge #204 is an anniversary card for my brother and his wife, who will be celebrating their 40+ anniversary soon. I thought this sketch was perfect for the guidelines for my card.

A Little Bird Told Me
My card for today is a birthday card for the challenge at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #273. I have this stamp set that was a free gift with a magazine. I stamped it on a piece of white card stock and then used both copic markers and water color pencils to color it. I also added touches of glitter with my glitter pen to add a little sparkle. I stamped out the flower, colored it and then cut it out and added it to the card.

Money Box
My youngest grandson is graduating from high school this year and I made this money box for his gift. I took my inspiration from the PPA Color Challenge #255. I made a cap out of black card stock and a little diploma from scrap paper. I die cut the word Congratulations from white card stock and sponged it with Marina Mist ink. I probably should have gone over the ink one more time to make it a little darker. I used a Stampin Up tab punch to make the tab for the money in Sahara Sand. I plan to get at least $50.00 in one dollar bills and tape them to each other to be pulled from the slot in the top. I hope my Daughter video tapes his reaction as he keeps pulling out the $1.00 bills.

Two New Cards
Birthday Wishes
I could not sleep last night, so I used my energy to make a couple of cards. My first card, Birthday Wishes, is another Sweet Sunday Sketch #272. I turned the sketch sideways then I used one of the paper doll images and added the bird by stamping it on scratch paper then resizing it to place on the image before printing it out to color it.. I used Spellbinders nesting dies #20 to cut the background shapes. Added some green gems for bling, faux stitched around the edges and my card was done.
Birthday Balloons
The second card is using Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #401. I had some coordinated 6 X 6 paper pieces that worked really well for this card. I used Lawn Fawns Party Balloons to cut the two balloons and then added some Glossy Accents to make them shine.

Dance to the Song in your Heart
My card today is for the sketch challenge at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #271. I purchased the paper doll digital image collection at A Day for Daisies. I love these images and they are so fun to work with. My card today is in shades of pink on a black card base. The background paper was in my scrap folder so I used my distress tool around the edges to give it a shabby look. I colored my image with water color pencils, then used my glitter pen to add sparkle to the wings and highlight other areas of my image. I used distressed ink to go around the edges of my circle. I also printed out my sentiment with my laser printer then ran it through my laminate machine with some red foil paper. Again, a fun card to make.
