Double Challenge

Today my card is an entry in a color challenge over at Flourishes.org for Timeless Tuesday FTTC256. and the challenge is using purple.  I love shades of purple and I am so glad it is the color of choice this year.  It is also a color that makes lovely cards. The sketch challenge for this card is at Mojo Monday.  I did not add a sentiment as of yet as I like to add the  appropriate sentiment when I am ready to send out a card.

A Double Challenge

My post today is an entry of one card into two different challenges.  One is a sketch challenge at Sktechbook Saturday  and the other is a color challenge at  Crazy4Challenges.  I think the layout worked well with these colors.

The scroll background is a free electronic cut file from Birds Cards.  I love this design cut in chocolate and placed on the cream colored card.

Birthday Wishers

My card today to for a challenge at Deconstructing Jens challenge #134.  It's a cute sketch and I used MME paper the Lost and Found collection.  I used two generic stamps that I purchased from Michaels and distressed the edges of the paper with distress ink. I punched out some hearts and added white gel pen accents.

Saying Hello

For this card I used the PB image of a girl with a balloon (I love her stamps).  I just got the rose colored copic markers  and wanted to try them on her dress. I fussy cut the image and backed it with the oval papers.  This little girl is adorable and reminds me of my granddaughter who has long blonde hair.  She had never had her hair cut until recently when her Mother took her in for a trim.  She told me they cut off 6 inches and it's still past her little backside!  I am entering this card in a Tuesday Morning Challenge #199.

Sending Hugs

I made this card for entry in the Crazy For Challenges #219 challenge.  The paper I used for the background is MME Miss Caroline collection.  I love the wood look in the yellow tones. I teamed that up with the white paper doily from Martha Stewart and then used a gold metallic flower,.then added some leaves I cut with the Spellbinders leaf die and then added the brown polka dot paper and my sentiment.

Making Valentines

Today's card is an entry for the challenge at Mojo Monday, Challenge #329. I made my card on off white colored cardstock, then used strips of black and white for my accent color.  The graphic for the center is part of my Hug Bug clipart that I collected for many years.  I cut it out with a spellbinders circle die and the cut the next size up out of red and white striped paper.  I added my sentiment, a bow and a couple of small hearts.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

My card for submission to Sweet Sunday Sketch #203.  It's bright and simple.  I embossed the background with a  Sizzix tiny dots embossing folder.  I printed out the plaid paper then cut a circle with the classic circle die cut.  I then printed out my sentiment and put the card  together.

A Missed Challenge

I wanted to enter this card in a challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches but I missed the deadline to link my card.  I am posting it on my blog anyway since I think it came out really nice.

 

I'm also posting two cards that I made using the same elements, same color scheme but made a little differently to see what the result would be.  I also printed out and fussy cut the flowers in front, then lifted them up with pop dots to give them more definition.



Now I'm going to look at my list of sketch challenge sites to see if I can find another challenge and try to make the link on time!!

Valentine Cards

I made several of these cards for my family and friends for Valentines Day.  The cut file for the easel card can be found at Birds Cards.  They cut out really nice and make beautiful cards.  I used paper the looked old fashioned and fussy cut the heart centers to showcase the flowers. I know everyone will love them.  I also entered this card in a shaped card challenge at Flourishes Stamps.

Todays card is an anniversary card and a challenge at Mojo Monday, challenge #327.  It's my niece's anniversary later this month so this challenge was the perfect opportunity to make this card.  I really like the look of the  red, white and black combination.  I know they will like the card too.

Color Challenge

PPA - #186

My card today is a card I made for the PPA186 - A Color Challenge, with Mary Fish at Stampin Up. I used the blues for the base of the card and gold foil for the lattice background and a gold flower as an embellishment.  I used white lace as a backdrop for the sentiment stamp and the inside of the card has a white panel for a handwritten message..

Grandsons Birthday Card

This card is for my grandson's birthday.  He is going to be old enough to want to start driving, so this is my way of teasing him.  My daughter already has one son driving and although he is a big help running errands, I don't think she is ready for two teenage drivers!
