Birthday Card for A Good Friend
One of my long time friends has a birthday coming up and I made this card for her. It is the perfect sentiment, and the graphics are spot on. I used Stampin Ups Just Kidding stamp set to represent me. (The only thing that's a tiny bit off is my characters weight - but hey, it's a small card!) Then I used the Cookie stamp from Stamps of Life to represent my little dog Jazzie. I reduced the size of the stamped image in my computer, added a little bit of coloring and she looks just like my little girl! I embossed the background of my card and did a little bit of shading to make it look like wall paper, then added the stamped image of me and my sentiment. She will get a big laugh out of this card and I hope it brightens her day. It's anything goes at Simon Says Stamps so I am entering this card in this weeks challenge.

A Different Kind of Easter Basket
I made this Easter Basket for one of my grand children and plan on making more as they are so cute. I used a svg cut file that I got from a wonderful lady at http://www.myscrapchick.com/. Her files are always so well done and she is so generous with her talent that I get a lot of my cut files from her website. She calls these designs Belly Boxes because the have a belly to hold treats, and she has a lot of them. Some of my favorites have been her Halloween series, but I love them all. So here is my basket. This basket is so funky that I know my grand children will get a big laugh from them. The colors that I used for this one are the way that she had hers displayed, but I think that for the other baskets I need to make, I will mix it up a bit since I need both boy baskets as well as the girl baskets. I am entering this in an anything goes (but cards) challenge in the UK. This challenge site it called Creative Moments and this is their website link http://carabbiemomentsofcraft.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/challenge-65-anything-goesanything-but.html. These crafty people are so talented and I enjoy seeing their creations. I also entered my basket at Paper Take Weekly for their current challenge. They offered a choice of using pastel colors, technique (which is my style), product theme, or a sketch. What a great choice of options.
